The Datasets page is the Catalog’s primary space for browsing all datasets. Each dataset is a metadata description of a data asset that may come from one or more tables or views across one or more datasources. Datasets do not store data themselves; they describe how to access and understand the data and provide useful context for discovery, governance, and literacy across the Data Integrity Suite.
This page provides a clear, discoverable map to your data assets. It helps you understand what data exists, where it comes from, how it’s structured, and how it can be governed and used, all within a single, consistent interface.
What you’ll see on the Datasets page:
- Dataset cards or list entries: each shows the dataset name, a source/datasource icon, and key metrics (for example, number of fields).
- Detailed view: clicking a dataset name opens a fields view with the dataset’s fields, data types, descriptions, and any related sample data or previews.
- Metadata and indicators: you’ll see metadata such as source references (datasource and connection), schema information, and contextual scores (such as data quality scores) along with any active rules, alerts, warnings, etc.
- Filters and search: contains-based search and filters by source, tags, scores, and other attributes to refine results.
