Configure where Data Integrity Suite stores sample datasets used for testing, validation, and data quality checks. You can use Precisely Cloud, AWS S3 Bucket, or Azure ADLS Gen2.

You must have the Workspace Administrator role to configure data sample storage settings.

Data sample storage controls where the Suite stores sample datasets for testing, validation, and data quality workflows. Use Precisely Cloud when you want the Suite to manage sample storage, or use customer-managed storage when your organization needs samples to remain in an AWS or Azure storage location that you control.

For more information about AWS regions, see AWS Regions and Zones.

  1. Go to Configuration > Data > Data Sample.
  2. Select the storage option for sample data.
    Storage option Configuration details
Precisely Cloud Encrypted samples in cloud storage managed by the Suite; no additional configuration required
AWS S3 Bucket Encrypted samples in your AWS S3 bucket; requires Region and URL
  3. Select Test connection.
The Suite verifies that it can access the selected storage location.
  4. Select Save.
The workspace storage preference is saved. When you choose Azure ADLS Gen2, new sample data for the workspace is stored in the specified container.
  5. Optional: Turn on Failed Record Samples to store samples of records that fail during data quality rule evaluation.

Failed record samples are retained for 90 days and apply to all data quality rules in the workspace.

What's changed: In the new user experience, Show Failed Records Sample appears as Failed Record Samples. For more information on the new experience, see About the new user experience.

Sample datasets are stored according to the workspace storage preference.
