You can create new replication projects, modify existing ones, or view the details of current projects. When adding a project, you define essential parameters such as the project name, and description. Modifications allow you to edit name and description, while the viewing option provides a comprehensive overview of the project's status, backlog, versions and related metrics for effective management.

Add replication project

  1. Navigate to Integration>Continuous Replication and click + Add Project.

  2. Enter a unique name for the project.
Note: The project name cannot be changed once created. And modifications can only be made through import or export.
  3. Enter a brief description of the project. This field is optional.
  4. Click Create. The newly created project will be added to the projects pane.

Edit replication project

  1. Click ellipses next to the project you wish to edit, then select Edit from the dropdown menu. This will open the edit project window.

  2. In the edit project window, modify the description as needed to accurately reflect the purpose the project.
  3. Once you have made the necessary changes, click Save to apply them.
Note: If the replication project has been committed at least once, clicking Save creates a new configuration file, which becomes the current configuration version for the project. To implement the updated configuration changes, commit the changes to the server(s) and then redeploy the project.

View replication project details

Click the ellipses next to the project you wish to view the details, then select Details from the dropdown menu. This will open the project details window, where you can view the following information:

  • Project Name: The unique name given for the project.
  • Description: A brief overview of the project's purpose.
  • Replication Engine: The details associated with the replication engine.
  • Created By: The user who created the project.
  • Last Refreshed: The timestamp indicating when the project was last refreshed.

To view the alerts, click Alerts. This will open a dialog displaying a list of alerts for the selected project. Click Cancel to close the dialog.

  • Statuses: The current statuses of engine processes, replication and capture.

Additionally, on the same page, you can navigate to another tab to view:

  • Backlog: The number of data rows waiting to be processed.

This information allows you to monitor the project's status and performance effectively.
