View alerts for a replication project active in Data Integration to help identify important issues, track anomalies, and see what action may need to be taken on one or more runtime servers. For example, if a replication project encounters interruptions, view the alerts to determine whether any source or target systems have shut down. The alert symbols indicate different alert levels. For example,
- Yellow exclamation icon: Describes alerts with a warning severity. These alerts indicate issues that do not affect replication. For example, finding duplicating entries for an active kernel in the kernel file.
- Blue information icon: Describes alerts with an information severity. Returns alerts for events occurring in the kernel operating normally.
- Red Cross icon: Describes alerts with an error severity, highlighting critical issues demanding immediate attention. These errors signify significant failures in the replication process, performance, etc.
- Navigate to IntegrationContinuous Replication tab.
- Click the ellipses next to the project name and select Alerts from the menu. This action opens the Alerts window.
- Project: Specifies the name of project.
- Description: Specifies a brief summary of the selected project.
- Message type: Allows you to filter the list by the type of alerts such as warnings, errors, informational messages, etc.
- Runtime engine: Allows you to filter the list of alerts by replication engines, enabling you to focus on specific set of alerts.
- Pipeline Name: Allows you to filter the list of alerts by replication pipelines, helping you monitor and manage particular data flows.
- Search: Allows you to search the list by pipeline name, message type, and other criteria, aiding you in quickly locating relevant alerts.
The alerts table lists the following details:
- Message: Lists all the alert messages for the selected project. Each message provides details about an issue or event that has been flagged within the replication pipeline, to identify and address potential problems.
- Replication Engine: Lists the replication engines associated with each alert message.
- Pipeline Name: Lists the pipelines that correspond to each alert message. This field helps you determine which data pipelines are affected by the alerts, facilitating targeted troubleshooting and resolution.
- Logged: Displays the timestamp when each alert message was logged, helping users track the timing and sequence of events for prompt issue resolution.
- Refresh: Allows you to manually refresh the grid to see the latest alerts for the project. This ensures that the most current information is displayed, helping you stay up-to-date with the latest alerts.
- Last refreshed: Displays the date and time of the last refresh, indicating how up-to-date the displayed alerts are and whether a data refresh is needed.
- Close: Allows you to close the alerts window for a particular project.
Note: If CDC is down, you receive this message 'An unexpected error occurred. Try the request again. If the problem persists, contact support.' As a result, you will not be able to view the latest alerts.
