The Mainframe Replication Pipeline is designed to facilitate seamless data transfer and synchronization between mainframe systems and modern data environments. It enables real-time data replication, ensuring that updates on the mainframe are immediately reflected in target systems, thereby minimizing latency and maintaining data integrity. By leveraging the Mainframe Replication Pipeline, you can enhance your data strategies and improve operational efficiency.

Note: You must have the Replication Designer role to configure and manage replication pipelines. A workspace manager can assign the role from the Manage User page.

Mainframe replication page

You can create and manage mainframe replication pipelines on the mainframe replication pipelines page, where you'll find a list of pipelines along with details for each.

  • +Create Pipeline: Allows you to create a new pipeline by specifying source, target, replication options, and other details.
  • Pipeline list: Each row corresponds to a pipeline.

    • Health: Displays the current health status of the pipeline with visual indicators (e.g., red for error).
    • Pipeline Name: The name of the pipeline.
    • Rows Captured: Shows the number of rows captured from the source system.
    • Bytes Captured: Displays the volume of data captured.
    • Rows Applied: Indicates how many rows have been successfully applied to the target system.
    • Current Latency(s): Shows the latencies of the captured data.
    • Type: Indicates whether the pipeline is high volume or advanced.
Note: Email notifications are sent to replication designer when the status changes to Action Required for a pipeline, to stay informed and address issues promptly.
Once the pipeline is created, it provides you with a detailed Overview, a Details Snapshot, and information about Backlog and Latency.
  • Overview: This gives a detailed summary of all the information contained in the pipeline.
  • Details Snapshot: This snapshot includes overall pipeline statistics, table-level statistics, statuses, and any warnings or errors in the mainframe pipeline.
  • Backlog and Latency: This section provides details about latencies and replication data.
