View connection details

  1. Find the connection you want to view the details for.
  2. Click the connection name, it opens a side panel on the right that displays the details of that connection. The details shown for the connection include:
Field Description
Description Specifies the details about the datasource.
Catalog Summary Provides overall discovery status for a connection.
Last Completed Displays the timestamp of when the discovery was last completed.
Datasets Specifies the number of datasets associated with the connection.
Fields Specifies the number of fields associated with the connection.
Options Specifies the fields configured while adding the connection.

View or add data assets for a connection

  1. Find the connection you want to view the details for.
  2. Click the connection name and select Data assets tab to view selected datasets. The following actions can be performed on the data assets:
    • Not Cataloged: Displayed when the connection is not cataloged.
    • Add more data assets to catalog
      • To add additional data assets to discover, click Edit.
      • Select the checkbox for data assets you want to add.
      • Click Save. The discovery will start automatically for the newly selected data assets.
Catalog Summary Description
Failed with < number > of errors Displayed when an error occurs during cataloging. You can click this status link to view the error details.
Partially discovered Displayed when few tables within the schema has cataloged information but not all.
Cataloging Displayed when the cataloging process is ongoing.
Starting Displayed when the resources needed to catalog takes time to get started.
Cataloged Displayed when the schema is fully identified and cataloged, meaning all necessary metadata and information about them is available in the catalog.
Not Cataloged Displayed when the schema is not yet been identified and cataloged.
