This section provides instructions on how to manage connections within Data Integrity Suite. It covers the steps to edit existing connection details, duplicate a connection for reuse, and remove a connection when it is no longer needed. This ensures efficient management and organization of your data connections.

Edit a connection

  1. Find the connection you want to edit.
  2. Click the connection name > click Edit Details.
  3. On the Edit connection page, modify the properties for the data connection.
  4. Click Test to confirm that the connection works. If the connection is successful, a Success message displays.
  5. Click Next to save your changes.

Duplicate a connection

You can duplicate an existing connection to reuse its information for a new connection. After you duplicate a connection you can edit its settings. Provide a new name for the duplicate connection and change any of the settings.

  1. Find the connection you want to duplicate.
  2. Click the ellipsis next to the desired connection name and select Duplicate from the menu that appears.
  3. On the Duplicate Connection page, edit the name of the connection.
Note: You must enter authentication credentials (password) for accessing the connection's database to test or save a duplicated data connection.
  4. Click Test to confirm that the connection works. Testing a data connection is optional. You can save the connection without testing it or if the test fails.
  5. Click Next to proceed with saving the duplicate connection.

Remove a connection

Warning:
  • Ensure that you actually want to delete the connection. A successful deletion cannot be undone.
  • All the information about this data connection will remain in the catalog, however this information will no longer be updated during the discovery. You must update any configuration that relies on the connection being removed.
  1. Find the connection you want to remove.
  2. Click the ellipsis next to the desired connection name and select Remove.
  3. A Warning message will appear on the screen. If the connection is cataloged, the prompt specifies the number of datasets and fields that will be removed from the data catalog.
  4. To proceed, select the checkbox to confirm and click Remove or click Cancel to exit.
If the data connection is in use by one or more replication pipelines, you will receive an Error message indicating it cannot be removed.
