A child reference list is a subordinate list that is created under a parent reference list, allowing for the organization and categorization of related reference items. It inherits properties from the parent list while enabling additional customization, such as naming and display format.

  1. Navigate to Configuration > Catalog > Reference Lists.
  2. Click the ellipsis next to a reference list name and select Add Child Reference List.
  3. An Add Child Reference List dialog will appear. Enter a Name for the child reference list.
  4. Define the Display Format field that references the default {Code} field and holds the reference list items.
  5. Enter a Description for the child reference list.
  6. Click Create Reference List to save the child reference list.
