You can ask a question, report an issue or suggest modifications to an asset by clicking Make a Request.

The Make a Request option is only displayed if there are allocations configured on a Request Type and if that Request Type is used in an active workflow. Depending on the configuration of Request Type workflows in your system, you can find the Make a Request option in these locations:

Asset Type: For Request Types that apply to specific asset types
  • In the action menu on an asset type in the asset class list grid
  • Button on the asset type list grid page
Asset: For request types that apply to specific assets
  • In the action menu on an asset in the asset list grid
  • Link in the side panel when the asset is selected in the asset list grid
  • Button on the asset detail page
  1. Click Make a Request.
  2. If there is more than one type of request available, select an option from the menu. The options that are available depend on the Request Types that have been configured on your system.
  3. Complete the form and click Submit.
The form will be routed to the relevant person for them to respond to your request.
Example: You want to request access to an asset. In this example, your organization has configured a Request Type workflow that enables you to request access to a specific asset of a given asset type.
  • You go to the asset type list page and click the Make a Request button in the title area.
  • Your administrator has added a field to the request form to collect information about which asset you want to access. You complete the request form and click Submit.
  • The form is routed to the relevant person who can approve or deny your request for access.
