Requests are made when you click Make a Request. After a request is made, an action is assigned to the relevant user so they can respond to your question or request.
The Make a Request option is only displayed if there are allocations configured on a Request Type and if that Request Type is used in an active workflow. This configuration must have been setup for your system before you can initiate requests. For more information, see Request types.
Requests can be general inquiries, or they can be related to a specific asset type or asset. The Requests tab on the Workflow page lists all requests that were initiated by you. Each row includes the status of the request and the assignee. You can click a row to view additional information in the side panel, including workflow step information. If a request is 'Pending', you can identify which step is awaiting an action and who it is assigned to.
