On the Workflow Settings tab, you can create assignment ID schemes to define the format for assignment IDs. An assignment ID is a unique identifier given to a workflow instance. The assignment ID schemes that you create can then be chosen when setting up a workflow.

In the Assignment ID Schemes section, click Open.

Click Create ID Scheme.

Type a Prefix for the ID Scheme. The Prefix can consist of these characters, note that numbers and special characters are not allowed:
- Uppercase letters
- Dash (-)
- {YYYY}, {YY}, {MM} tokens which will return numeric values for the current year or month.

Click Save.
