Create tag types and manage them through options such as view, edit, and delete.

To create a tag type:

  1. Navigate to Configuration > Catalog > Tag Types.
  2. Click Create Tag Type to give a Name and Description to the new type.
  3. Click Create Tag Type again to save the new tag type to the list.
  4. Add a Tag field on the asset types where you want to enable tagging.
  5. You can now create tags within this tag type.
Warning: You cannot create a new tag with the same name as an existing tag or use the pipe symbol | in a tag name.

These menu options are available when you click the ellipsis next to a tag type name:
  • View Information: Opens the Information panel on the right.
  • Open: Opens the Details tab in the current tab in browser.
  • Open in New Tab: Opens the Details tab in a new tab in browser.
  • Edit: Click this option to modify the tag type details and save your changes.
  • Delete: Click this option to remove the tag type. All associated tags will also be deleted along with the tag type.
