This section provides you the different authentication method used for Oracle in Data Integrity Suite.

Table 1. Authentication type
Field Description
Authentication type Username: Specifies the user ID credentials for authorization when connecting to the database server. This is a mandatory field. Example: db_user
Passsword: Specifies the password credentials corresponding to the username for authorization when connecting to the database server. This is a mandatory field. Example: password123
Encryption Type: Specifies whether to have secured communication or not.
  • None: Refers to no encryption.
  • Native Network Encryption (NNE): Refers to Oracle Database’s native data network encryption.
  • SSL/TLS: Refers to encrypted communication using TLS.
If you select encryption type as SSL/TLS, then provide the following details
Use the certificate provided by the server without verification
  • Toggle OFF: The server certificate needs to be validated.
  • Toggle ON: The server certificate is trusted, and no validation is needed.
Hostname in the certificate Specifies the hostname for certificate validation when SSL encryption is enabled (Encryption Type = SSL/TLS) and the toggle for 'Use the certificate provided by the server without verification' is on.
