Configure quality rules from the datasets page

The rules can be configured from the datasets page targeted for the respective datasets. You can target both default rules and custom rules for the specific datasets.

To create a custom rule from the datasets page:
  1. Click Catalog > Datasets.
  2. Click the corresponding dataset for which you want to configure a custom rule.
  3. Navigate to the Rules tab and select Data Quality.
  4. Click Create Rule.
  5. Within the target assets section, the selected dataset is pre-populated.
  6. Configure the pass conditions and enter the other details required to create the rule.
  7. Click Create.

Once the rule is successfully created, you will be redirected to the assets page from which the rule originated.

Edit the custom rule from the datasets page:

The configured custom rule targeted for the specific datasets can be edited directly from the datasets page in Catalog.

To edit the rule associated with the datasets:
  1. Click Catalog > Datasets.
  2. Click the corresponding dataset associated with the rule.
  3. Navigate to the Rules tab and select Data Quality.
  4. Click the ellipsis icon next to the associated rule and click Edit.
  5. Modify the required details in the rule.
  6. Click Save.
