The rules can be configured from the fields page targeted for the respective fields. You can target both default rules and custom rules for the specific fields.
To create a custom rule from the fields page:
- Click
- Click the corresponding field for which you want to configure a custom rule.
- Navigate to the Rules tab and select Data Quality.
- Click Create Rule.
- Within the target assets section, the selected field is pre-populated.
- Configure the pass conditions and enter the other details required to create the rule.
- Click Create.
Once the rule is successfully created, you will be redirected to the assets page from which the rule originated.

Edit the custom rule from the fields page:
The configured custom rule targeted for the specific fields can be edited directly from the fields page in Catalog.
To edit a custom rule from the fields page:
- Click
- Click the corresponding field associated with the rule.
- Navigate to the Rules tab and select Data Quality.
- Click the ellipsis icon next to the associated rule and click Edit.
- Modify the required details in the rule.
- Click Save.
