You can create governance rules for fields in addition to datasets. This extends governance coverage to field-level metadata, helping ensure consistent field descriptions, domain classification, PII indicators, and other important attributes at the field level.
Field-level governance improves consistency, searchability, and compliance. It supports data stewardship and auditing by ensuring critical metadata is defined for each field and aligned with governance policies.
To create governance rules and scores for fields, open the Catalog, select the Fields tab, and use the same process you apply for datasets to create or edit governance rules for fields. Refer to the this topic to know more: Configure governance rules and scores for datasets.
