You can connect the datasources across your business by combining the analytical power of Data360 Analyze with the Data Integrity Suite. Data360 Analyze enables you to acquire, prepare and analyze metadata from external sources, and then uses APIs to feed this externally sourced metadata to Data Integrity Suite to enrich your data.
These steps describe how to configure a Connector. You must have an installation of Data360 Analyze and an understanding of the source system from which you are extracting metadata.
- We recommend that you use the latest version of Data360 Analyze. Contact your Precisely representative to request the three library nodes that are required to integrate a datasource.
- If you are currently using Analyze connectors with Data360 Govern, upgrade the Framework node to a version that is compatible with the Data Integrity Suite.
- Import the Framework, Configuration and Connector library nodes into Data360 Analyze.
- Create a data flow to extract information from your external data source for importing into Data Integrity Suite.
- Ensure that the library paths include the locations of the three library nodes that you imported. This step ensures that the data flow can access the Framework, Configuration and Connector library nodes. For more information, see the Data360 Analyze help.
- Drag only the Connector node onto the canvas.
- Configure the Connector's properties. Hover over the name of a property to see a tooltip with additional information.
- In the Connector node configuration, ensure you specify the following API
settings to connect to Data Integrity Suite:
-
Host: The host is the base URL or address of the API server you're connecting to. Example:
api.cloud.precisely.comorapi.cloud.preciselygov.com -
API Key: A unique identifier that represents your application or user account when making API requests.
-
API Secret: A secret token that's used along with the API key to prove that the request is really from you.
Note: These credentials are generated via the Data Integrity Suite UI. The API configuration allows the Connector node to securely communicate with the Data Integrity Suite API Gateway. -
