Use bulk import to invite new users, update existing user details, or remove users from your workspace by uploading a completed spreadsheet template.

Tip: Users assigned to custom roles must have the following permissions to access Import:
  • Users: View, Manage, Invite
  • User Group: Manage

Go to Configuration > Import. Select Users as the Import Type. Mandatory template fields are indicated in bold. To exclude optional fields, remove their columns.

After the import finishes, the status is one of the following:

  • Completed: All users were successfully imported.
  • Partial: Only some users or attributes were imported.
  • Failed: No users were imported.

Select an import action:

  • To invite or update users:

    1. Select Invite/Update.
    2. Download the template and fill in the required details.
    3. Click Import. Monitor progress on the import page.

To update existing users, use these attributes in the template:

    • [remove]: Deletes a value. For example, [remove]phoneNumber removes the phone number.
    • [replace]: Replaces a value. For example, [replace]New Division updates the division. You can also update a value by entering it directly without this attribute.
    • [append]: Adds to existing data. For example, [append]Operators adds Operators as an additional user group.
    Note:
    • If validation errors occur, they appear in the Errors tab in the side panel. Resolve all errors before the import completes.
    • If an invalid group is specified, the user is imported but the group assignment fails, resulting in a partial import. Users without valid group assignments have restricted permissions at login.
    • Updates to first name and last name show a Completed status but do not appear in the application.

To verify, go to Security > Users. Imported users appear with an Invited status and their assigned user groups.

  • To remove users:

    1. Select Remove.
    2. Download the template and enter the details for the users to remove.
    3. Click Import. Any errors appear in the Errors tab in the side panel.

To verify, go to Security > Users and confirm the users are no longer listed.
