Learn how to browse and select available API sources and endpoints when adding an API Call step to your pipeline. User permissions determine whether you can view, create, edit, or delete API sources and endpoints, as well as configure their parameters for use in pipelines.

Browsing and selecting APIs
When you add an API Call step to your pipeline, you can browse
and select from the available API sources and endpoints:
- Click the API selection dropdown to view all available API sources.
- The first API source in the list is selected by default.
- Select the API source you want to use.
- After selecting an API source, select the specific endpoint you want to call.
Tip: You can only see and select
API sources and endpoints that your user permissions allow.
How user permissions affect API selection
Your ability to work with APIs depends on your user permissions:
Users with permission to manage APIs
These users can:
- View all available API sources and endpoints.
- Create new API sources.
- Add new endpoints to existing API sources.
- Edit API source and endpoint configurations.
- Delete API sources and endpoints.
- Select any API source or endpoint for use in pipelines.
Users with permission to view APIs
These users can:
- View all available API sources and endpoints.
- Select any API source or endpoint for use in pipelines.
- Configure input and output parameters when using an API in a pipeline.
- Cannot create, edit, or delete API sources and endpoints.
