The ETL tab in the Data Integrity Suite provides access to Matillion's cloud-native transformation services. While Data Integration handles pipeline orchestration and connection management, Matillion delivers advanced data transformation capabilities for preparing data for analytics and downstream products. You can apply sophisticated transformations within Matillion's SaaS environment to shape, cleanse, and enrich datasets that flow through Data Integration pipelines, ensuring data is ready for cataloging, quality checks, and BI across the Data Integrity Suite. A few of the transformation steps supported in Matillion include Aggregate, Join, Unite etc.

Note: You must have an active Matillion subscription to access and use the services offered within the Matillion platform.

Configure ETL services

The integration with Matillion gives Precisely Data Integrity Suite users seamless access to Matillion's advanced Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) features. You can easily start a trial or purchase specific products, receiving a dedicated Matillion SaaS account that supports the creation of scalable, cloud based ETL workflows.

  1. From the main navigation menu, click Integration > ETL.
  2. The ETL tab provides access to all projects created within Matillion.
  3. If you are a new user, click Continue to Matillion to proceed with configuration steps in Matillion to create a new project.
  4. After completing these steps, you can select the provided link in Matillion to return to the Data Integrity Suite workspace from which you initially logged in.

Configuration in Matillion:

After being redirected to Matillion, if you are a new user, you must complete the following steps to subscribe to the 14-day trial:
  1. Click Sign in with Precisely.
  2. Enter the required details to complete your profile, then click Continue.
  3. Configure your project in Matillion, connect to your cloud data platform, and click Continue.
  4. The system initiates the connection process, during which data from the configured sources is loaded and transformed.
  5. Once the connection is successfully established, the project is fully configured and ready for use in Matillion.
Tip: After setting up the project, select View Pricing to review and choose the package best suited to your needs. If you click Talk to Sales, you will be redirected to the Matillion billing page, where you can provide the necessary information to contact the sales team.
