Use Gio™ AI Assistant to configure data quality rules for your datasets. With this feature you can generate a new rule or get rule recommendations from the datasets page.
To generate a new rule from the datasets page:
- Click from the main navigation menu.
- Select the dataset you need rule recommendations for; this will bring up its details in a side panel.
- Launch Gio™ AI Assistant and select the required rule from the rule recommendations list. Alternatively, you can also enter your query in the chat window if you want to create a custom rule based on your specific requirements.
- Gio™ AI Assistant suggests up to three rules for your dataset and checks for similar existing rules to prevent duplicates, prompting you if you want to create a new one.
- Based on your selection, the generated rules appear in the chat window.
- Select the rules you want to retain and click Apply Rules to add them to your application rule repository. If the suggested rules do not meet your needs, click Reject to dismiss the recommended rule.
To generate a new rule from the dataset rules page.
- Click from the main navigation menu.
- Click the desired dataset name and go to the rules page.
- Launch Gio™ AI Assistant and select the required rule from the rule recommendations list. Alternatively you can also enter your query in the chat window if you want to create a custom rule based on your specific requirements.
- Provide any additional details required by Gio™ AI Assistant for further analysis. For example, you may be prompted to enter the dataset name specifically for which you want the rule recommendation.
- Gio™ AI Assistant shows the asset details retrieved from the submitted information. Choose the dataset and click Submit to confirm your selection for rule recommendations related to that specific dataset.
- The Gio™ AI Assistant recommends up to three rule suggestions, based on your dataset information and industry best practices. It also searches for similar existing rules to prevent duplication.
- All the generated rules are displayed within the chat window.
- Select the rules you want to use and click Apply Rules to add them to your application rule repository. If the suggested rules do not meet your needs, click Reject to dismiss the recommended rule.
Example: If you have a dataset containing customer contact numbers and want to validate whether each number includes an international code, enter a query such as: "Create a rule that checks if all phone numbers have an international code appended."
