Use Gio™ AI Assistant to configure data quality rules for your fields. With this feature you can generate a new rule or get rule recommendations from the fields page.
To generate a new rule from the fields page:
- Click from the main navigation menu.
- Select the field for which you want the rule recommendations; this will bring up its details in a side panel.
- Launch Gio™ AI Assistant and select the required rule from the rule recommendations list. Alternatively, you can also enter your query in the chat window if you want to create a custom rule based on your specific requirements.
- Gio™ AI Assistant suggests up to three rules for your field and checks for similar existing rules to prevent duplicates, prompting you if you want to create a new one.
- Based on your selection, the generated rules appear in the chat window.
- Select the rules you want to use and click Apply Rules to add them to your application's rule repository. If the suggested rules do not meet your needs, click Reject to dismiss the recommended rule.
To access the rule recommendation from the field rules page:
- Click from the main navigation menu.
- Click the desired field name for which you want the rule recommendations and navigate to the rules tab.
- Launch Gio™ AI Assistant and select the required rule from the rule recommendations list, and then submit your query. Alternatively, you can also enter your query in the chat window if you want to create a custom rule based on your specific requirements.
- The Gio™ AI Assistant analyzes the field details - including its name, semantic type, existing rules, and best practices from the knowledge base to recommend relevant rules. It uses similarity searches to prevent duplicate rules and applies AI to generate new recommendations.
- Provide any additional details required by Gio™ AI Assistant for further analysis. For instance, you may be asked to specify the name of the dataset that contains the field for which you require rule recommendations.
- Gio™ AI Assistant shows the asset details retrieved from the submitted information and provides details on why the specific field was recommended.
- Choose the required field and click Submit to confirm your selection for rule recommendations related to that specific field.
- The application displays the generated rules in the chat window, showing three recommended rules at a time.
- Mark the checkboxes corresponding to the generated rules you wish to retain and click Apply Rules. The application will add the selected rules to the rules page. If the suggested rules do not meet your needs, click Reject to dismiss the recommended rule.
