Set up Key Vault authentication for your Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse connection to enhance security and centralize credential management.

Table 1. Key Vault Authentication Fields
Field Description
Tenant ID The The Azure / Microsoft Entra tenant ID associated with your Microsoft Fabric workspace. This identifier is required to authenticate and authorize access to your Lakehouse resources.
Client ID The application (client) ID ofyour Azure app registration / service principal. This ID is used to authenticate with Key Vault and must have appropriate permissions to access the stored secrets.
Key Vault A dropdown selector to choose a pre-configured Key Vault instance. The Key Vault stores and manages sensitive credentials securely. Click "Add Key Vault" to configure a new Key Vault if one does not exist.
Client Secret Path The secret path within the selected Key Vault where the client secret is stored. This path is used to retrieve the secret securely during connection establishment.
