This topic provides details on the fields required to configure a dbt Core datasource in Data Integrity Suite.

Table 1.
Field Description
Name Specifies the name of data connection. This is a mandatory field. Example: dbt Core DataConnection
Description Allows you to describe the purpose of this data connection. Example: Connection to the dbt database for transformation workflows.
Agent to access data Select the agent from the dropdown that connects to the database. It helps securely access data from your network.
Bundle Name The name of the dbt project bundle or workspace. This field identifies the specific dbt project configuration that the connector will access. The bundle name must correspond to an existing dbt project in your environment.
Steps to upload the bundle to VM
  1. Log in to the virtual machine (VM) where Precisely Agent is installed.
  2. Ensure the compressed (ZIP) file contains the following structure:
    1. manifest.json file inside the lib folder.
    2. driver.properties at the root level of the ZIP bundle.

    Example of the structure:

    bundle.zip
     ├── driver.properties
     └── lib/
         └── manifest.json
  3. Ensure the driver.properties file contains the following properties:
    driver.display.name=DBTCore
    driver.class.name=com.precisely.dbtcore.Placeholder
    Note: The driver.display.name value must match the name specified in the upload command.
  4. Run the command to upload the driver bundle:
    ./discli drivers upload --name <bundleName> --driverPath <bundlePath>

    Where:

    • <bundleName> must match the driver.display.name value specified in the driver.properties file
    • <bundlePath> is the path to the ZIP file
  5. If the upload is successful, a confirmation message appears in the terminal.
  6. The uploaded bundle is stored in /precisely/drivers/
  7. To verify the uploaded bundles, run the command ./discli drivers list
