This section provides you the details on various fields required to configure SAP Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) in Data Integrity Suite.

Field Description
Connection name Specifies the name of the data connection. This is a mandatory field. Use a descriptive name that identifies the SAP Sybase ASE instance or environment. Example: Sybase_Production_DB
Description Allows you to describe the purpose and context of this data connection. This field is optional and helps document the connection's use case and target environment. Example: Connection to production SAP Sybase ASE database for transactional data cataloging and quality monitoring.
Agent to access data Select the agent from the dropdown that connects to the SAP Sybase ASE database. The agent securely accesses data from your network and enables communication between the Data Integrity Suite and your database. This is a mandatory field. Example: Agent_Production_East
Host Specifies the hostname or IP address of the SAP Sybase ASE server. This is a mandatory field. Ensure the host is reachable from the agent network. Example: sybase-prod.company.com or 192.168.1.50
Port Specifies the port number on which the SAP Sybase ASE server listens for connections. This is a mandatory field. The default port for SAP Sybase ASE is 5000. Verify the correct port with your database administrator if a non-standard port is configured. Example: 5000
Databases (Optional) Specifies the name of the database to connect to on the SAP Sybase ASE server. This field is optional. If left empty, the connection defaults to the user's default database. Provide a specific database name to restrict the connection scope. Example: master or sales_db
Advanced Options Allows you to set the connector logging level and define additional parameters for the SAP Sybase connection.
