Configure the pipeline realtime service for Agent based pipelines that receive and process realtime requests.

Before you begin, ensure that:

  • The Agent is installed and running.
  • You have access to the Agent command-line interface.
  • Kubernetes ingress configuration is available for the Agent deployment.
Note: In most cases, the service installs automatically when a new version is available. Use this process only if automatic installation does not occur, or if realtime pipeline configuration is not working as expected.
  1. Check the available modules in the Agent environment to verify that pipeline-realtime is installed and running.

If the service is missing or not working correctly, continue to the next step.

  2. If Pipeline Realtime Service appears as Down, remove and re-add the service module.
    1. Run the following command to remove the service:
      ./discli agent addRemoveService -o REMOVE -s pipeline-realtime
    2. After removal completes, run the following command to add the service:
      ./discli agent addRemoveService -o ADD -s pipeline-realtime
    3. Verify that the service is available and running.
  3. If the service is already running and a new version is available, update the service.
    ./discli agent update -s pipeline-realtime --version 1.0.10
  4. After the service is installed, configure ingress for the Agent deployment to expose the service externally and route incoming calls to the realtime pipeline service.

Without ingress configuration, incoming realtime requests cannot reach the Agent service, and run configurations that depend on the realtime pipeline service might fail.

Note: Deploying the pipeline-realtime module alone does not expose the service externally.

For more information, see Agent ingress configuration documentation.
