Configure the connection settings for Cloudera Hortonworks Hive.

Field Required/Optional Description
Connection name Required A descriptive name for this connection.
Description Optional A brief description of this connection.
Agent to access data Required Select the agent that will be used to connect to Cloudera Hortonworks Hive.
Host name Required Hostname or IP address of the HiveServer2 node.
Port Required Port number. The default HiveServer2 port is 10000.
Database Optional Name of the Hive database to connect to.
Additional URL parameters Optional Additional JDBC URL parameters to append to the connection string.
Advanced Options Optional Configure additional settings using the Advanced Connectivity Bundle (ACB).
Log level Optional Select the level of logging: All, Error, Warning, or Informational. Default is Error.
Debugging parameters Optional Key-value pairs for advanced debugging. Use only when directed by Precisely Support.
