Review the permissions required to connect Data Integrity Suite to Cloudera Data Platform Hadoop Hive.

Note: Metadata extraction is available only with the Advanced Connectivity Bundle (ACB) entitlement.

Required permissions

The user connecting to HiveServer2 must have:

  • Access to HiveServer2 (authentication credentials configured in your Hive deployment)
  • SELECT privilege on all Hive databases and tables to be cataloged
  • Read access to the Hive Metastore

Example Hive grant:

GRANT SELECT ON TABLE mydb.mytable TO USER dis_user;
