Describes the authentication method and permissions required to configure a ThoughtSpot connection in Data Integrity Suite.
API Access
ThoughtSpot uses REST API for metadata access. The connection requires a valid user account with appropriate permissions on the ThoughtSpot server.
Required Permissions
The user account must have the following permissions granted:
- ADMINISTRATION — Can administer ThoughtSpot to view all metadata objects including connections, users, and groups
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
If Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) is enabled on your ThoughtSpot instance, the user account must have additional permissions:
- SYSTEM_INFO_ADMINISTRATION — Can view system activities
- USER_ADMINISTRATION — Can manage users
- GROUP_ADMINISTRATION — Can manage groups
