Export asset type configuration from one workspace as a configuration bundle that can be imported into another workspace.

You must have permission to create asset types in the source workspace.
Preview: This feature is currently in Preview for select workspaces and might be subject to change before general availability.

Use configuration export to move asset type definitions and their required configuration dependencies between workspaces. Exportable configuration includes business asset types, non-harvested technical asset types, relationship types, predicates, reference lists, and custom tag types. Credentials, asset instances, simple tag type configuration, domains, and connector-harvested technical asset types are not included in the bundle.

  1. Go to the asset type configuration export page.
  2. Select one or more asset type configurations to export.

    Harvested technical asset types are not shown for export. When the selected configuration references other exportable objects, dependency analysis includes the required dependencies automatically.

  3. Review the dependency analysis.

    The export process recursively includes required inherited asset types, parent container asset types, relationship types, predicates, reference lists, and custom tag types. If a selected configuration references a harvested technical asset type, the bundle records a lightweight reference so the import process can check whether the target workspace has the required harvested type.

  4. Start the export.
  5. Download the configuration bundle when the export completes.
The export downloads the configuration bundle. You can store the bundle as a promotion artifact or import it into another workspace.
