Export selected catalog assets and their relationships from one workspace as a transfer file that can be imported into another workspace.

You must have permission to manage the source workspace.

Use asset export to move a scoped set of business or technical assets between workspaces. The export includes the selected assets, their relationships, and tags in a downloadable transfer file.

  1. Open Catalog > All Assets or Catalog > Technical Assets.
    You can also export from other catalog asset tables that support asset type filters.
  2. Apply an asset type filter.
    The Export button becomes available after the table is filtered to a specific asset type.
  3. Select the assets to include in the export.
  4. Select Export.
  5. Wait for the export to complete.
    Asset exports can take longer than configuration-only exports when the selected assets have many relationships. The export record shows the export mode and count details so you can distinguish asset exports from configuration exports.
  6. Download the transfer file.
The transfer file is downloaded from the source workspace.
