Import catalog assets and relationships from a transfer file created by an asset export.

You must have permission to manage the target workspace. The import file must be a transfer file created by an asset export.
Preview: This feature is currently in Preview for select workspaces and might be subject to change before general availability.

Use transfer file import to move exported catalog assets into another workspace. When the transfer file includes asset type configuration, the import applies the configuration before importing assets and relationships.

  1. Go to Configuration > Transfer > Import.
  2. Select Import.
  3. Choose Transfer File as the import source.
The import source options let you choose between a spreadsheet template import and a transfer file import.
  4. Upload the transfer file.
The file can be an asset export ZIP file or an asset type configuration YAML file. The upload preview identifies the file type and shows validation errors when the file cannot be imported.
  5. Review the file preview and validation details.
The preview summarizes the asset export or configuration content. You can resize the details panel to review validation messages and imported object details.
  6. Choose whether to turn on Configuration.
    • Turn on Configuration when the target workspace does not already have the required asset type configuration.
    • Turn off Configuration when you only need to import assets and relationships.
If the transfer file contains only asset data, the import skips configuration analysis and imports the assets and relationships.
  7. Select Import.
The import adds or updates catalog assets and relationships in the target workspace. If configuration is included, the import applies configuration definitions before asset and relationship data.
