Manage API sources and endpoints in the Configuration panel. Users with Datasource Manager role have View and Manage access. Quality Designer role users have View access only, allowing them to use endpoints in pipelines without modifying configurations.
In Data Quality pipelines or workflows, the Make API Call step invokes an API endpoint. You manage API sources and endpoints on the APIs page in the Data Integrity Suite Configuration settings. You must have the Workspace Manager role to access the APIs page.
To manage APIs, select Configuration, then select the APIs page. The APIs page displays two panels: one lists API sources, and the other lists endpoints for a selected source.
API Sources
The left panel lists available API Sources. These are grouped into two categories:
| API Source | Description |
|---|---|
| Precisely APIs | APIs that correspond to Precisely products and implementations. The APIs listed here depend on features and products licensed by your organization. |
| Other APIs | External APIs that your organization has added. |
Source Endpoints
The right panel lists API endpoints that have been exposed for use in pipelines. These appear in a table with the following columns:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| API Name | A label for the endpoint exposed from an OpenAPI specification. |
| Description | A brief phrase indicating the endpoint's purpose. |
| Method | The HTTP method (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, for example) implemented by the endpoint. |
| Endpoint | The OpenAPI endpoint path implemented by the method. |
