Security policies are the rules defined for the selected data assets, user groups and the associated users. It provides a way to author roles and policies and associate them with users and groups.

There are two types of security policies supported in the application
  1. Default security policies: Default security policies are created in the workspace and assigned with a set of predefined user groups and roles.
  2. Custom security policies: Custom security policies are the security policies created in the application by an end user.

To access the Policies tab, you need the View policy permission. To configure custom security policies or to enable and disable policies, you must have the Manage policies permission.
