The Security tab plays a vital role in managing users, user groups, and roles, providing a streamlined approach to access control and security management. To access the Security tab, click Configuration on the main navigation menu and navigate to the Security tab. This will provide you access to the following pages:
You must have the View permission to view the respective tabs within Security and Manage permissions to modify any details in the Security tab.
Note: With View permission you can only view the data. You
require additional permissions to modify the data.
- Within this tab, users with invite user permission can invite a new user, resend an invite to an existing user and users with manage user permission can modify the details of an existing user or remove the user from the workspace.

- User groups help to group together users with similar roles and responsibilities. By assigning permissions at the group level, administrators can ensure that all members have appropriate access rights.
- Within this tab, users with view user group permission can view the existing user groups and users with manage user group permission can modify the details of an existing user group and can add or remove users from the user group.

- Roles are defined to include any permissions required across the suite. A set of default roles are automatically created in the workspace. Users with view role permission can view the existing roles and permissions and users with manage role permission can create, modify or delete custom roles.

- Policies are the rules defined for the selected data assets, user groups and the associated users. It provides a way to author roles and policies and associate them with users and groups. Users with view security policy permission can view the existing security policies and users with manage security policy permission can configure custom security policies, enable or disable the policy and add or remove users from the policy.

- This tab provides an option to workspace managers to add their respective email domains in the application thereby allowing users to automatically login to the application without a manual invite. Users must be assigned the Workspace Manager role to access the SSO tab.
