Type: Addressing step

The Enrich step provides comprehensive, location-based insights into weather, geological, and other natural risks that impact asset owners. By leveraging this data, users can identify potential asset exposure, make informed decisions, mitigate risks, control costs, and enhance profitability.

Enrich uses curated datasets from the Precisely Enrich data catalog, part of the Precisely Data Suite. While you can add, configure, and preview the Enrich step without data subscriptions, you need active subscriptions to run pipelines that use fields from Precisely data products. Separate Dataset entitlements and Data shares are also required. For integration details, refer to the Data Shares documentation and About entitlements and subscriptions.

The Enrich step also relies on the PreciselyID (formerly PBKEY), a unique identifier for addressable locations, to look up risks for a specific location. It ensures interoperability across Precisely addressing solutions and serves as the lookup key for adding fields from Precisely datasets.
Warning: If the PreciselyID field is missing, the Enrich settings panel will display an error, and the Preview and Save options will be unavailable.
Note: The Verify or Geocode Address step is required if the PreciselyID is not already available in the pipeline schema. This step generates PreciselyID fields, which can then be used in the Enrich step.

Data selection and configuration

The Enrich step uses Precisely datasets to quantify risks for an address. Each dataset has a unique three-letter identifier (e.g., COR for Coastal Risk, FLR for Flood Risk). When configuring the step, you select fields from these datasets to append to the pipeline, adding them as output columns. Field names are prefixed with the dataset identifier and an underscore (e.g., FLR_FLOODZONE for the FLOODZONE field in the Flood Risk dataset).

Table 1. Enrichment Datasets
Enrichment dataset Identifier Description
Coastal Risk COR Provides nearest and adjacent water body information and wind speed data for a location.
Earth Risk ERB Provides earthquake risk data for a location.
Flood Risk FLR Provides flood risk data for a location.
Property Attributes Assessment PAS Provides ownership, tax, location, construction, legal, zoning, and other data about a location.
Property Fire Risk PFR Provides fire services and response data for a location.
Wildfire Risk WFR Provides wildfire risk data for a location.

Subscription Requirements: The Enrich step requires a subscription for each Precisely dataset used in the pipeline. You can preview fields without a subscription, but running the pipeline with unlicensed datasets will result in a job failure.

  • The Needs Data Subscription icon appears in the Add Step dialog and after the Enrich step is added to a pipeline.
  • Administrators can view data subscription entitlements and usage by clicking Check Subscription Details.
  • For purchases or share configuration, contact your Precisely support representative. For more information, see Data shares.

Configuring the Enrich step

Warning: Agent execution of a data quality pipeline in batch is not possible when an Enrich transformation step is part of the pipeline.
  1. Select PreciselyID Field: Choose the PreciselyID field for the address set to be used.
Tip: If the PreciselyID field is not available, ensure the Verify & Geocode Address step is added before the Enrich step in the pipeline.
  2. Browse Enrichment Data and Add Fields:
    • Dataset Panel: Lists available datasets. Select a dataset to view its fields. Datasets requiring subscriptions are marked with an icon.
    • Dataset Fields Panel: Displays fields within the selected dataset. Select fields to add them to the output schema. You can click the information button for field details, including name, data type, and description.
    • Selected Fields Panel: Shows selected fields grouped by dataset. Field names are prefixed with the dataset identifier (e.g., FLR_FLOODZONE). The available actions are:
      • Expand or collapse selected fields for a dataset.
      • Remove all fields for a dataset by clicking the ellipsis and selecting Remove.
      • Remove individual fields using the remove button.
  3. Select Fields: After finalizing field selections, click Select Fields to add them to the Enrich step.
  4. Selected Fields: View selected fields grouped by dataset. You can remove a dataset or specific fields as needed.

By following these steps, you can configure the Enrich step to append location-based risk data to your pipeline effectively.
