A rule definition defines the conditions and parameters based on which the rule will be evaluated.

To view the rule definition associated with a rule:
  1. Navigate to Quality > Rules.
  2. Click the specific rule name and navigate to the Rule Definition tab.
  3. The tab provides the following details about the rule definition:
    • Description: Displays the description associated with the rule.
    • Dimension: Provides details on the dimension associated with the rule. For custom rules the dimension corresponds to the value selected during rule creation.
    • Scoring bands: Represents predefined ranges or categories used to classify scores or performance metrics.
    • Show failed records sample: Displays if the feature of failed records is enabled or disabled for the respective rule.
    • Enable/Disable scheduling: Provides details if the scheduling is enabled or disabled for the respective rule.
    • Target Assets: Displays the total number of assets considered for rule evaluation.
    • Evaluated rows filter: Displays the conditions applied in the row filter for the rule.
    • Pass Conditions: Provides details on the pass conditions based on which the rule is evaluated. For default rules, the value is displayed as all fields.
    • Result Type: Displays the expected result type. For default rules, the result type is metric evaluation.
    • Expression: The expression associated with the rule. For custom rules, the value corresponds to the pass conditions configured during the process for rule creation.
  4. Click the close button to return to the rules page.
