Follow the step-by-step instructions for configuring a data connection for SAP.

To connect to SAP, configure the following fields in your data connection setup:

Field Description
Connection Name Specifies the name of the SAP connection. This is a mandatory field. Example: SAP_Connection
Description Describes the purpose of this SAP connection. Example: Connection to SAP ECC system for finance data extraction
Agent to access data Specifies the agent that establishes the connection to the SAP system. This agent securely accesses SAP from your network.
Bundle Name Name of the folder containing the SAP drivers uploaded by the customer.
Host The SAP application server hostname or IP address. This is a mandatory field.
System Number SAP instance number of the application server.
Client ID SAP client number.
Authorization
  • Authorization Method: Select the authentication method. Supported options are Regular and Key Vault.

  • Username: SAP user ID used for authentication.

  • Password: Password for the specified SAP user ID.

Replication
  • Use for replication: Enable this option if the connection will be used for replication.

  • Replication engine: Select the runtime engine used for replication.
