An assignment is a task assigned to you as a result of a workflow instance. You can view and manage all tasks assigned to you in the My Assignments tab.
The My Assignments list view includes these details:
- Instance ID: A unique identifier for the workflow instance that created this task.
- Workflow Name: The name of the workflow.
- Associated With: The name of the asset that the workflow is based on.
- Object Type: The item type that the workflow relates to, Asset, Asset Type or General.
- Initiator: The name of the person who started the workflow instance.
- Initiated: The date when the workflow instance was started, or the time if the instance started today.
- Assignee: The names of the assignee, if applicable. If there are more than two assignee, hover over the usernames to see the full list.
- Status: The status of the task.
You can type in the Search box to locate a specific task, or you can apply filters to customize the list that is displayed. For example, you can create a "to-do list" by using the Status filter to see only tasks in the Pending status.
To view the complete and incomplete steps of a workflow, click a workflow name. You can click any step to see detailed step information in the side panel. If an incomplete form requires your response, click Complete Assignment. Click Show Workflow Diagram and Details to see information about the configuration of the workflow and the workflow diagram.
You can perform the following actions on tasks assigned to you: complete, reassign, or delete. You can also perform these actions in bulk on multiple tasks.
You can click the links in the General section to see additional workflow information in the side panel. For example, Asset Information is displayed after clicking an asset name from the Associated With list. A Request section is displayed if the workflow was initiated with a Make a Request button.
